Brackets and parentheses ( ) [ ] { } ⟨ ⟩ 【】

Round, square, curly, angle and CJK brackets — and the angle bracket that normalization silently changes.

The ASCII brackets ( ) [ ] { } cover most needs. For mathematical angle brackets, use ⟨ U+27E8 and ⟩ U+27E9. The older U+2329 and U+232A look similar but are canonically equivalent to the CJK brackets 〈〉 U+3008 and U+3009, so any normalization replaces them with wide East Asian forms.

East Asian typography uses its own brackets — 「」『』【】〔〕《》 — which are full width and include their own spacing. Ceiling and floor brackets ⌈ ⌉ ⌊ ⌋ appear in math and computer science for rounding up and down.
